University of Washington to retire Kelsey Plum’s Las Vegas Aces jersey

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) — One of the faces of the Las Vegas Aces has received the highest honor at his alma mater.

On Friday, November 1, the University of Washington announced that the school will retire Kelsey Plum’s No. 10 jersey.

Plum will be the first women’s basketball player in Husky history to retire her jersey and the sixth women’s basketball player overall.

During the 2017 WNBA Draft, she made Huskies history as the first No. 1 overall pick.

She also brought home a gold medal for Team USA at the 2020 Olympics in women’s 3-on-3 basketball.

The Kelsey Plum jersey will be retired on January 18th.
