Michael Buble is still going strong with Christmas memes – what does he think of his internet fame?

It’s the most wonderful time of the year – when Michael Bublé goes mega-viral with his Christmas memes.

Several memes about the “Haven’t Met You Yet” singer resurface every holiday season, a phenomenon that began annually after he released his first holiday album, “Christmas,” in 2011. The viral images both celebrate and tease Buble as a symbol of Christmas. , suggesting that it hibernates until the holiday season arrives.

The most popular meme depicts the phrase “Christmas is Coming” above an edited image of Bublé emerging from a cave, while another shows a frozen Bublé thawing out for the holidays. The “Feeling Good” singer made fun of himself by addressing memes in October 2021 Tik Tok.

“Have you ever wondered, ‘Why would anyone spend so much time in a cave?’ Bublé asks before the video cuts to him dressed as Batman.

But in a recent interview with TODAY.com, the “Home” singer explains that he didn’t find the memes all that funny at first.

“I think when it first happened… there was probably uncertainty,” he says, touting his new job as a coach in “The Voice”.

The Canadian singer says “it would be really hard” if viral Christmas memes were all he had to show for his success, but he’s grateful for “so much work,” including world tours, throughout his decades-long career.

During BBC interview, 2018Buble shared his reaction to the memes for the first time, deadpanning that he “doesn’t find it as funny as everyone else.”

He also explained that his friends send him images and joke, “Look at the meme they have of you,” to which he says he responds, “I hate you.”

Whether you’re a Bublé fan or not, it’s clear that his reputation goes beyond the meme: 11 studio albums, five Grammys and Canada Walk of Fame Inductionand these are just some of the accolades.

Over time, Bublé’s feelings about memes have ironically unfrozen, and he now considers himself “lucky” to be considered culturally “relevant” every holiday season.

“That’s the biggest compliment in the world because we live cyclical lives and as humans we really look for patterns because they give us comfort,” Bublé told TODAY.com. “I honestly can’t believe how cool it is that it’s like a new Christmas card.”
