Katalina’s Tres opens November 1 in Bexley.

Katalina’s Tres, the third of owner Kathleen Day’s local restaurants focusing on Latin American and Southern cuisines, opens today in Bexley.

And yes, pancake balls filled with Nutella, dulce de leche or pumpkin apple butter are the first item on the menu.

The newest Katalina’s restaurant is located at 2741 E. Main St. in Bexley, in the building that once housed Boston Market. It will be open every day from 8:00 to 15:00.

Katalina’s Tres menu also includes “Everything But Sammy’s Kitchen Sink”, which was featured during Day’s appearance in August episode of Guy Fieri’s Food Network show “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.”“

And there is also a new item. The Shakshuka Brekkie Sammy features a poached egg in a tomato-pepper sauce, topped with queso fresco and a green hot sauce called zhug, and served on a spicy bagel from Sammy’s Bagels of Columbus.

Catalina’s original restaurant is located at 1105 Pennsylvania Avenue, Harrison West. Catalina too! is located at 3481 N. High St. in Clintonville.
