Liz Cheney responds to Trump’s death threats

Trump will support Harriet Hageman in the primaries against Liz Cheney: report

Liz Cheney fired back at the former president Donald Trump comments since Thursday night, when he grimly revealed a scenario in which guns were fired at the former Republican congressional leader turned Kamala Harris supporter.

These are comments made during an event organized by Tucker Carlson in which Trump called Cheney “stupid” and a “war hawk” but then insulted her by suggesting she would have acted differently if she had been “shot” with a gun. Calling Cheney “a very stupid man,” he then said:

She’s a radical war hawk. Let’s imagine she’s standing there with a rifle and they’re shooting at her with nine guns. Fine. Let’s see how she feels about this. You know, when the gun is pointed at her face.

Proposing a scenario in which a political enemy is targeted is a dangerous level of heated rhetoric. This caused an early storm of anger just days before the presidential election. Cheney did not take these comments lightly when she published her object on social networks.

Cheney wrote“This is how dictators destroy free nations. They threaten death to those who oppose them. We cannot entrust our country and our freedom to a petty, vindictive, cruel, unstable man who wants to be a tyrant.
