David Copeland is a local district commander for Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service.

He wants people planning their own events to think again.

“You run the risk of a fire getting out of control – we see that quite often at this time of year.

“Last year, fireworks set fire to a nearby property and spread to the house.

“Thankfully no one was hurt, but you can imagine the concern it caused.”
