Expert Picks vs. Buccaneers vs. Chiefs

Expert Picks vs. Buccaneers vs. Chiefs

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers turned heads on Monday Night Football in Week 9 for the second time in three weeks, this time in Kansas City. The Buccaneers will try to remove the Chiefs’ status as the NFL’s only undefeated team in 2024 and also extend their winning streak by shutting down Arrowhead Stadium to three. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 pm ET on Monday, November 4th. To find out how to watch, listen and stream the game, Click here.

Most analysts favor the Chiefs at home, citing Kansas City’s strong defense against the Buccaneers’ “undermanned” offense. Although the Bucs rank fourth in the NFL in rushing and were able to total 423 yards last week without Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, one expert believes the visitors scored one touchdown in the game due to the continued absences of those two. Another analyst sees hope for the Bucs to win, given Baker Mayfield’s strong play against the blitz and in the fourth quarter.

The Buccaneers are 8.5 points behind the defending champions and there isn’t much to choose from on Monday night. Some experts believe the Bucs are at least hiding the spread. Here’s what some of them say:

NFL.com – All five experts favor Kansas City, but the Bucs do beat the 8.5 spread in all five projections.

ESPN.com – The Bucs manage to get one poor pick out of three analysts.

CBSSports.com — Pete Prisco believes the Chiefs’ undefeated season continues.

USA today – The home team wins – 6:0.

Bleach Report – Among eight analysts there is no direct choice of Book, but half see the spread covered

Professional football — Mike Florio thinks Tampa Bay is keeping its distance, but Chris Simms sees double-digit losses.

Sports Illustrated – No one minds the disappointment of the six experts

Sports news – Vinnie Iyer bowled Chiefs by 17 runs
