Saptarshi Prakash, Assistant Vice President (AVP) Design at Swiggy, recently expressed his surprise and admiration for a job seeker who used an unconventional method to apply for a job. In an interview with X, Mr. Prakash said that he received a physical letter from a designer wanting to join Swiggy. “In the digital age, this old school approach stands out,” he wrote, sharing images of the letter. In the correspondence, the job seeker suggested a new opt-in that he believed could improve Swiggy’s usability. “I would love to have the opportunity to present it to you and the team if I had the chance… What I really hope for is this one opportunity to express myself and showcase my work in front of you,” the job applicant wrote. .

In his post, Mr. Prakash noted that Swiggy currently has no vacancies available in the field of UX/UI Design. However, he encouraged the candidate to email the concept. In a separate post on LinkedInMr. Prakash said, “Though we don’t have a suitable role for you at Swiggy right now, I definitely appreciated your initiative.” “I would also like to take a look at the concept you created. Could you send me an email? I’m sure you’ll find my email address—you managed to find my physical address!” he added.

Mr. Prakash shared this post a few days ago. It has since amassed over 40,000 views on X. It has also garnered nearly 7,000 reactions on LinkedIn and over 100 comments.

“This designer can come up with alternative ways that are actually outside the box, if Swiggy does contract projects and can get him involved with any of them, that would really be a great story,” advised another.
