A recent study revealed the slang words Americans and Kentuckians most searched for in 2024, and many of the commonwealth’s favorites align with the national consensus.

Experts from Unscramblerer.com analyzed Google Trends from 2024 to October 25 to identify the most searched slang words in the “ever-changing” English language.

“Many slang words are born out of trending topics and viral videos on social media. However, only a few manage to stick around long enough to be added to the dictionary and remain in everyday use,” a spokesperson for Unscramblerer.com said. “Slang words are a normal and fascinating evolution of language. We encourage everyone to learn new words and surprise their children with them.”
