My honest review of Hisense CanvasTV

My honest review of Hisense CanvasTV

In terms of functionality, this thing is powerful. It comes with Google TV, which gives me access to over 700,000 movies and shows on platforms like Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Peacock—you name it. Everything is accessible through a streamlined interface that makes finding what I want to watch easy and intuitive. (It also recommends new content based on my viewing habits, which I like—cuts down on endless scrolling.)

I’ve also become surprisingly dependent on the Google Assistant feature. Whether I want to turn up the volume or dim the smart lights to create the perfect ambiance, I can just say, “Hey Google,” and I’m done. What’s more, the Chromecast feature is another benefit: you can cast anything from your phone/tablet directly to your TV in seconds, be it a photo slideshow, a work presentation, or a YouTube video. It’s simple and user-friendly, even if you’re not the most tech-savvy person.

Now let’s talk about the price. The Hisense CanvasTV starts at $1,000 for a 55-inch TV and is more affordable than its biggest competitor. Samsung frame. While both offer an art mode and motion sensors, the Hisense stands out with its integrated design—everything is built directly into the TV, so there’s no need for an external One Connect Box like Samsung’s. Additionally, both TVs have frames that attach easily without tools, but given the CanvasTV’s lower price and similar features, it’s a clear winner for anyone looking to save their wallet.
