An eco-resort in Batchawana Bay has won the top prize in a business presentation competition.

More than a dozen business owners from across Algoma County participated in the competition process, which is part of the annual Bridges to Better Business training and networking event.

They were evaluated by an expert commission of judges and audience voting.

Sunnd Nordic Eco Resort owner Anne Marie Barry and Bronson Kovacs of Zoli’s Kleaners made it to the finals, which saw the four-season geo-dome glamping resort come out on top.

Barry went home with the competition’s top prize of $15,000, while Kovacs took home the second place prize of $5,000.

Erin Bury, one of Canada’s leading women entrepreneurs and CEO/Co-Founder of Willful, was the keynote speaker at the event.
