Stand up for Medina: American politician advocates peace in Gaza | Documentary

A representative of a democratic state opposed to US support for Israel is fighting for a ceasefire resolution in the Gaza Strip.

Madina Wilson-Anton is the first Muslim state elected in President Biden’s home state of Delaware. She advocates for her community as a politician and challenges perceptions in her free time as an aspiring stand-up comedian.

Wilson-Anton is also an outspoken critic of the Biden administration’s support for Israel’s war on the Gaza Strip. Members of her party have threatened to denounce her for her outspoken pro-Palestinian stance, and she faces abuse and trolling online.

Despite this, Wilson-Anton persists in pushing for a ceasefire resolution to be introduced in the Delaware House of Representatives, calling for a permanent end to Israel’s war in the Gaza Strip.
