Watch the Cure perform ‘Songs of a Lost World’ in concert live

Robert Smith also celebrates his upcoming 45th birthday Seventeen seconds and perform hits during a three-hour concert in London on the night of release

Treatment celebrated the release of their long-awaited and acclaimed new album Songs of the Lost World on Friday with an evening premiere and live broadcast of the London concert.

At the three-hour concert, which followed the BBC concert two nights earlier, Robert Smith and company performed the new album in order and in its entirety, including the live debut of tracks from the War Song album, “Drone:Nodrone”. ” and “Everything I Ever Wanted.”

The rest of the setlist included hits and fan favorites from the band’s extensive catalog, as well as a section dedicated to the upcoming 45th anniversary of The Cure’s 1980 album. Seventeen secondswhere the track “Secrets” was unearthed live for the first time since 2011.

The 31-song concert ended with an encore that included “Friday I’m in Love,” “Close to Me” and the show-closing “Boys Don’t Cry.”
