There may have been no October surprise, but V.P. Kamala Harris could have a big Saturday night with the election just three days away.

Harris will make a surprise appearance on “Saturday Night Live” on the last Saturday before the Nov. 5 election. NBC News reported that the Democratic presidential candidate will appear on the show.

Reporters traveling with the vice president arrived at Rockefeller Center, where the 50-year-old comedy show is filmed, just after 8 pm EST and lingered in the “SNL” crew cafeteria shortly after arriving.

In the final days of the campaign, Harris reached out to undecided voters as she and Republicans Donald Trump are locked in razor thin race for the White House with two candidates running majority draw from seven swing states.

Harris campaigned Saturday in two key swing states: Georgia and North Carolina. She was scheduled to fly to Detroit on Saturday night, where she has events scheduled in the swing state of Michigan on Sunday. However, Air Force Two landed at LaGuardia Airport on Saturday evening with an unannounced stop in New York City.

Comedian Maya Rudolph, an alumna of the show, returned last month to play Harris for “SNL” ahead of election day. Harris has previously said that her performance as Rudolph is “so good.”

She’s so good,” Harris said during an interview with “The View” last month. “She had everything – a suit, jewelry, everything. Wow, what manners.”

How to watch

The episode will air live Saturday on NBC at 11:30 pm ET/8:30 pm PT. Viewers will also be able to stream it the next day on Peacock.

Who is hosting?

John Mulaney will host the show and Chappell Roane will be the musical guest.

Chappell Roan, who became famous this spring, refused to support Harris in the election, but later said she would vote for her. The singer-songwriter expressed dissatisfaction with the way Democrats have handled Israel’s war in the Gaza Strip and their stance on transgender rights.

Presidential candidates have already appeared on SNL

Harris is not the first presidential candidate to appear on the series.

Both Trumps and democrat Hillary Clinton appeared at the exhibition in 2015. Barack Obama also stopped by the show in 2007.

But these speeches were planned in advance; the candidates did not appear until several days before the general election.
