So what are Connections’ responses to game #511 today?

Drum roll please…

I started today’s puzzle with the blue category. Years ago, I spent my first year of college studying law, so when I spotted Rumor, I wasn’t fooled by the Connection Crew’s ploy of muddying the waters with other sensual words like “Touch” and “Feeling.” When I was looking for more legal language, “Inquest”, “Trial” and “Court” easily stood out.

I thought that clues like “Touch” and “Feel” probably had something to do with each other, but it turned out to be another dead end. Instead, “Touch” fell into today’s yellow category, along with other touching adjectives such as “touching,” “sweet” and “tender.” Meanwhile, “Feeling” fell into the green category, along with other ways of describing assumptions such as “Premonition,” “Impression,” and “Feeling.”

The purple color remains as today’s mechanical fill. At first I thought this category might be some kind of pun on the concept/cents theme that includes Money and Listening, but it’s actually much simpler than that.

Answers to questions “Yesterday’s Connections”

Reading this in a later time zone? Here are the Connections answers for game #510, which had a difficulty rating of 3 out of 5, according to Connectivity Companion.

We started yesterday’s puzzle when I saw the board and the cabinet. I thought they meant the group that led to the council. It took a while to see the panel, but we got there.

Kitchen utensils popped out: a refrigerator, a sink and a counter. For some reason I chose a chandelier in front of the stove and it was a bad choice. I swapped the two and got the yellow group.

Oops, the chandelier led me to see the hoop and cufflink where I attached the earring. From there we will have to go down.

As a result, we are left with the blue group as the final fill. I had seen the crunch, plank, and mountain climber before, but had no idea what the fourth exercise was called. I’m familiar with the boat pose, but never knew its name until now.
