Pedestrian hit and killed on EB I-10 near I-17 dump

PHOENIX — Eastbound Interstate 10 has reopened near Stack in Phoenix after a pedestrian was hit early Friday morning.

Arizona Department of Public Safety officials confirmed the crash happened before 4 a.m.

The pedestrian was reportedly taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. DPS confirmed that the victim died.

It is not specified whether the car that hit the pedestrian remained at the scene after the accident.
