The secret is out! Hallmark Channel superstar Tyler Hines Having starred in many Hallmark movies, the actor admitted in a new interview that he has developed a secret strategy for staying engaged and inspired while filming each one.

“I myself play a lot of little games that no one knows about,” he told the podcast “Streamed & Screened” hosted by Bruce Miller in the episode released October 30, 2024. “I have a lot of little things that make it interesting for me.”

Hines has been especially busy filming new projects in 2024, with five premieres scheduled within a few weeks. He appears alongside Jonathan Bennett and B.J. Britt in the just-released Hallmark movie. Trilogy “Buddy”which is currently streaming on Hallmark+ and has two more highly anticipated premieres this month – “Three Wise Men and a Boy” November 23 and “Celebratory Landing: A Chiefs’ Love Story” November 30.

Most Hallmark movies are shot in just 15 days and follow a similar narrative pattern, but Hines told Streamed & Screened that he found ways to keep it fresh, including watching movies of a certain genre during breaks while filming a movie.

“I’ll watch certain movies while I’m making a movie,” he said, adding, “Maybe I’ll keep acting like Pacino and play with things (that’s what he does). I know it sounds weird, but I have my own way of having fun.”

Hines said there are also “all kinds of little games” that he lovingly plays with his fans. known as Heinis, for example, jokes and references to past films or personal connections. For example, fans noticed that his character’s daughter in The Groom was named after Hines’ real-life mom, Betty—an Easter egg that Hines confirmed on twitter October 17.

“They seem to notice things and appreciate this kind of entertainment,” Hines told Streamed & Screened about Heini. “One of the things I love about these films, which seems unique to any other film, is the constant back-and-forth conversation.”

Hines continued: “The fact that I make several films a year and they come out within a year means that there is a constant conversation with the audience, those who are familiar with the films, where I can react to them. what they do, and they react to what I do, which makes me react to what they do, and it’s an ongoing conversation.”

After tweeting live during the Oct. 31 premiere of the third Buddies film, which focuses on his character Jackson, Hines posted a message Thanks to everyone who was so invested in the trilogy and his work.

Another strategy Hines uses to keep his films from becoming monotonous is to find meaning in every scenario and experience.

“I’m also trying my best to figure out what this movie has to offer in terms of tools and value,” Hines told the Streamed & Screened podcast, “and trying to consider the character or the pacing or anything like that.” about this, it serves that purpose, but I think it will be entertainment for me.”

Hines says it’s easy with Hallmark movies, so he’s not going to stray from the network.
