Patsy Kensit, 56, says she has given up on finding a man after being married four times and plans to “fill the hole in my soul” alone – as the actress admits she lost everything after her business collapsed “overnight”.

Actress, 56 years old, who called off her engagement to her fiance, real estate mogul Patrick Cassidy, earlier this year and said that while she believes in love, she is no longer interested in a relationship.

She said Hello!: “I wouldn’t want a relationship, I’m not interested. I believe in love,” she says. “But that’s not what I need, I’ve lived alone for a long time and I like my own company.” Now I’m just adjusting my life to fill the hole in my soul.

Patsy first married in 1988 to Dan Donovan of the 1980s pop group Big Audio Dynamite. The couple divorced in 1991. She then married Simple Minds frontman Jim Kerr in 1992. The couple had a son, James, in 1993, but divorced three years later.

I tell the publication: “I needed to get a job because people think I have all this money because of my past marriages, but I don’t. I need to earn a living.”

“(My business had) financial support and then the CEO had a stroke. I’ve always owned houses, but I had to sell my house and start over. It was brutal, especially because I worked so hard and then suddenly asked: “Who am I?”

The actress announced her whirlwind engagement to the mogul last year and he is said to have popped the question weeks after their first date.

He is believed to have proposed to the former Holby City star at Scott’s seafood restaurant in Mayfair before buying champagne for the rest of the crowd to celebrate.

Then in February, the couple had an official engagement: Patrick got down on one knee on the seashore, surrounded by heart-shaped flowers.

However, Patsy was reportedly “visibly upset” at a charity event in June when Patrick snatched her diamond engagement ring from her hand during an argument.

Just a few weeks later, Patsy’s representative said: Sun on Sunday: “I can confirm that they have separated and would appreciate it if she was given privacy on this matter. She’s very busy with work right now.”

The insider added to the post: “The whirlwind romance stalled and the couple decided to separate.

“They love each other very much, but ultimately she knew they wouldn’t be able to work out the relationship in the long term, so she felt it was best not to continue their relationship.

“Patsy has a lot of exciting job opportunities right now and is throwing herself into her career.”
