Cricket News: Mitchell Starc to reveal brutal new details after Australian star loses .4m contract

Mitchell Stark reported that no one from the Kolkata Knight Riders team contacted him either before or after losing his $4.4 million contract with the IPL franchise. Australian fast largely failed to fulfill his record contract this year – the biggest draw in IPL history – but he played a major role in the final and helped KKR win the title.

However, since the franchise could retain a maximum of five active players, it was reported last week that Starc had been fired. And the fast bowler will turn 35 next year and has shown in the past that he ready to turn down proposed IPL contractsMany thought that he might have played the IPL for the last time.

But despite KKR deciding not to retain his services for 2025, the Australian has vowed to head to the auction as he expressed his disappointment at the franchise not keeping him informed or approaching him. “I still haven’t heard anything from them,” Stark said. Daily Telegraph. “It is what it is, it is franchise cricket, so everyone except the Hyderabad boys (Pat Cummins and Travis Head) will be auctioned.”

Starc helped KKR win the IPL title this year but overall he failed to live up to his $4.4 million contract, and it’s no surprise that Knight Riders decided not to retain the Australian star and his record deal. However, since one of the main reasons for returning to the IPL last season was to prepare for the World Cup, his decision to return to the IPL comes as a bit of a surprise.

Until last season, the fast left-hander had not played in the IPL since 2015, having committed around $10 million. decided to put family and Test cricket first. One of the main reasons he turned down an IPL salary was his wife Alyssa Healy, who is a traveling cricketer herself.

Given their busy work schedules throughout the year, the couple had previously used the IPL window as an opportunity to stay home and spend some quality time together. “It’s hard enough juggling one cricket schedule, let alone when you’re in a relationship,” Starc said late last year about giving up his IPL salary.

“So I’ve always spent time away from cricket with Alyssa or time with the family, fueling my body to be fit and as ready as I can for Australian cricket. I don’t regret anything. I think it definitely helped. my test cricket. The money is always good and of course it was this year, but I have always prioritized international cricket and I think that has helped my game.”
