MSNBC’s Vaughn Hillard reports on small crowd at Trump rally

NBC News correspondent Vaughn Hillard One of the ex-presidents was at the scene on Monday Donald Trump final rallies. And after nearly a decade of covering Trump rallies, he’s noticed a big change in the size of Trump rallies. crowd rally.

Trump was scheduled to take the stage in Raleigh, North Carolina, at 10:00 a.m. Monday, but when Hillard spoke live on MSNBC a few minutes after the hour, the candidate was not there. Instead, he gave the audience a short tour of the hall and talked about something new he saw:

I want to show you guys what this crowd looks like real quick because Donald Trump is scheduled to take the stage at 10 a.m. And ours Tony Butler is going to show you what this crowd looks like now. We’re looking at roughly a container that’s about 70 percent full. And for nine years (I’m going to turn Tony to the right) for nine years we’ve talked about the enthusiasm and the masses that showed up at Trump rallies time and time again, even at his political lowest points, including in 2022. .

But interestingly, and I can’t say exactly why, but this last week we saw much smaller crowds. Yesterday we were in Greensboro, North Carolina, where there were only a few thousand people, Macon, Georgia, only a few thousand people. What does it mean? Ultimately, you can only discern so much of what crowd sizes looks like. But what’s interesting is that for the first time since I’ve been covering Donald Trump since 2015, we in the press were looking around and wondering why the crowd sizes were smaller than we’re used to.
