2024 Election Updates: Millions Voted Early as Trump and Harris Race to the Finish Line

David Plouffe, a senior adviser to Vice President Kamala Harris, told CNN’s Erin Burnett Monday night that the campaign believes it can win all seven swing states.

“It’s very important that we have multiple paths to 270, and you know, just a couple of hours ago, looking at all the early voting data, what we’re projecting for Election Day, how we think undecided people are breaking down, we have safe route to all seven states tomorrow night to join Kamala Harris’ convoy,” Plouffe said.

“But we think they will all be close,” he added.

Asked if he believed Harris could win all seven states, he said, “Yes.”

Plouffe said the campaign believes it is winning more late voters than former President Donald Trump, and he credits the campaigns’ different approaches to their field operations.

“I think outsourcing your work on the ground (that is, the people who knock on doors and make calls) largely exclusively to paid canvassers historically just doesn’t work,” he said. “You want people who are committed to your candidate.”

He called it “a secret weapon for us” and said volunteers were “knocking on 2,000 doors a minute” in Pennsylvania over the weekend.

But he acknowledged that both campaigns have “a lot riding on tomorrow, Election Day.”
