Flambard’s closure raises concerns about impact on National Insurance

Trevor Broome, co-chair of Visit Cornwall and chief executive of Land’s End Landmark, said it had been a very challenging time due to a “perfect storm” of challenges including recent bad weather, declining visitor numbers and rising costs.

Mr Broome added that the NI increase could be the last straw for businesses already struggling.

“The Budget has not been kind to some small businesses, particularly the National Insurance increase, which many businesses will find very difficult to absorb,” he said.
