At least a couple of traditional polling places had to be moved due to damage from Hurricane Helen.

Augusta-Richmond County Board of Elections Executive Director Travis Doss said voters traditionally assigned to the Building Worship Center at 2240 Bayvale Road will now go to the Augusta Boys and Girls Club at 221 Wheeless Road.

The D.C. Board of Elections also reported that Helen damaged one polling place. Director Nancy Gay said those usually at the Savannah Rapids Pavilion will go to Stevens Creek Church, 600 Stevens Creek Road. Voters will need to pay attention to the signs that are in place.
