While fans delve deeper into Dragon Age: Guardian of the Veil and reviews roll in the voice acting of a recent RPG return to form for BioWareThe developers are preparing to release their first patch for the game – and although full details about it have not yet been revealed, we already have an idea of what’s coming next.

Speaking at a recent mail online, Bioware reports that the first update for his new Age of the Dragon gem is in development and “will be available on all platforms later this week.” According to the studio, the patch will include “some bug fixes, minor balance changes, and some glitch mitigations” and “full patch notes” will be removed along with the update. The developers then hint at more specific examples of what the patch will bring, albeit just a few.

First and foremost, the patch is said to address “an issue where certain Inquisitor settings were not being applied correctly in one scene” – a fix that will likely please fans dragging their Dragon Age: Inquisition saves into The Veilguard. The next example of a patch noted by BioWare in the post only affects PC players as it addresses “an issue where DLSS options may become ‘inactive’ on Nvidia 40-series GPUs.”

BioWare’s latest note addresses an issue that may affect players on all platforms: it “fixes an issue that was causing companion skill points to reset.” As a longtime fan, I’m glad to see the developers working so quickly to fix the problems. While I’ve thankfully not encountered any game-breaking bugs yet, it’s nice to know they’re being fixed – and like our own. Veilguard Review As they say, I’m “satisfied, but I want more.”
