Meet Eileen Gu, Olympic gold medalist and now SI swimsuit athlete model.

Eileen Gu has become a household name at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics thanks to her performances as a freestyle skier. She was born and raised in San Francisco, California, and represented China in Beijing in three events – halfpipe, slopestyle and big air.

She won gold medals in big air and halfpipe, and also took silver in slopestyle. This made her the youngest Olympic freestyle champion and the first person to win three medals at one Olympic Games.

This was just the beginning for the 21-year-old, who has enjoyed success at every level of competition throughout her career.

Gu first skied at age three and began competing by age eight. Aptly nicknamed “The Ice Princess”, her rise to fame will only grow with what she does away from the slopes.

In 2022, she was included in Time’s list of the 100 most influential people in the Pioneers category. In 2023, Forbes named her the second highest paid female athlete in the world.

Her recognition and brand will only grow as it was announced that she will become featured in SI Swimsuit Magazine 2025. as one of their athletes.

This is not Gu’s first foray into modeling, as she has been on the cover of a magazine. China fashion, Elle And Harpers Bazaar. Signed to IMG Models, she has also walked several runway shows for top designers and partnered with major national brands such as Louis Vuitton. Victoria’s Secret and Tiffany & Co.

Another passion of hers is being a trailblazer for young athletes. Goo hopes that she can inspire young girls and women to pursue their interests with the same intensity and passion that she brings to her ventures.

In addition to his athletic and modeling success, Gu is a student at Stanford University, where he is studying quantum physics.

Even at the beginning of her journey, she still has a lot to achieve as she intends to continue to overcome and break boundaries, taking as many people with her as possible.
