Rotary Club of Waterloo honors owner of Muranda Cheese for community service

Tom Murray, owner of Muranda Cheese Company, received the Service Above Self award from the Rotary Club of Waterloo during their annual dinner on Monday.

Founded in 2007, Muranda Cheese Company in Fayette produces 17 varieties of artisan cheeses recognized for their highest quality.

Don Alhart, chairman of the Rotary County Annual Fund and former news anchor for 13WHAM News, presented the award to Murray, recognizing his contributions to the community.

In addition to honoring Murray, the club donated $2,500 to the United Way of Seneca County, supporting local charitable causes.
