God kept me alive to save America – Trump

Republican candidate Donald Trump now says God kept him alive in order to use him to save America.

In his victory speech in Florida on Wednesday, Trump said it was time to make America great again.

“God saved my life for a reason. That reason was to save our country and make America great again,” he said.

Trump said he would follow through on that reason, noting that the task ahead is not easy.

However, he said he would “put every ounce” of energy and spirit into realizing the cause.

He assured the Americans that he would prove that their choice was not in vain.

Since the start of the presidential campaign, there have been two attempts on Trump’s life.

On July 13, 2024, Trump survived an assassination attempt while speaking at an outdoor campaign rally near Butler, Pennsylvania.

Trump was shot in the upper right side of his body by Thomas Matthew Crooks.

A 20-year-old man fired eight shots from the roof of a nearby building.

Crook also killed one spectator and seriously injured two others.

He was shot and killed by a US Secret Service district sniper team.

Two months later, on September 15, Trump survived another assassination attempt while golfing at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida.

The suspect, later identified as 58-year-old Ryan Wesley Routh, was seen hiding in nearby bushes and pointing a rifle at a member of Trump’s security detail.

The Secret Service agent opened fire on Routh, who fled the scene and was later captured in Martin County.

No injuries were reported.

Officials said Routh wrote a note several months ago saying he intended to kill Trump.

Addressing his supporters on Wednesday, Trump said that, as when he first became the 45th president of the United States of America, he will be guided by a single model: “Promises made, promises kept.”

“We are going to keep our promises. Nothing will stop me from keeping my word to you,” he said.

He asked citizens from every state to join him in healing America and restoring its greatness.

“It’s time to unite. We must try, and it will definitely happen. Success will unite us,” he said.

Trump called on all Americans to put their country first, at least until it recovers.

“I won’t let you down. America’s future will be bigger, bigger, better, safer, stronger and more secure than ever before,” Trump said.
