Boeing strike ends – ABC Columbia

(CNN) – The Boeing strike is over. Striking workers voted on Monday, November 4, to accept the company’s latest proposal.

The International Association of Machinists said rank-and-file members voted 59% to approve the deal.

The deal includes an immediate 13% rate increase, 9% increases in each of the next two years, and then another 7% increase in the fourth and final year of the contract.

Overall, members will receive a salary increase of more than 43%.

However, the deal did not restore the traditional pension plan they lost in 2014 due to a previous labor agreement.
