What went wrong? A Malaysian woman broke her leg while skiing at Changi Airport, sparking controversy over whether she slid down correctly.

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 7 — A 23-year-old Malaysian woman suffered a broken leg while riding a slide at Singapore’s Changi International Airport.

The incident, which has since gone viral, shows a woman being taken in an ambulance to a medical facility after an accident.

Internet news portal WeirdKaya shared a video of the accident on Instagram, which sparked discussions among netizens.

Short video clips, allegedly filmed on the victim’s phone or by her companions, show her sliding down a narrow pipe with her legs crossed.

However, it does not appear when exiting the slide as expected.

Instead, it shows scenes of airport staff giving her compression ice and first aid before she is put into an ambulance.

The woman was later taken to Changi General Hospital where she was treated for a fractured right leg.

The viral video caused mixed reactions from social media users.

Many speculated that her shoes or position on the slide may have contributed to the injury, while some joked about her “brittle bones” and suggested she drink more milk.

Others offered advice on the “correct” way to use the slide, noting that riders are generally advised to keep their arms and legs pressed together.

One netizen commented, “It could have been caused by poor posture or maybe her shoes got caught on the slide and snapped.”

Another asked whether the woman had purchased travel insurance to cover her medical expenses.
