Russia bombards Kyiv with a swarm of drones, striking hospitals, high-rise buildings and industrial sites

Russian military carried out a massive unmanned attack on Kyiv at night, striking several districts and causing significant damage to a hospital, restaurant, multi-storey residential buildings and industrial facilities, This was reported by the Kyiv City Military Administration.

The attacks, which began shortly after midnight at 12:18 pm on Thursday 7 November, triggered an air raid alert that lasted until 8:13 am.

During the eight-hour assault, Kiev residents reported explosions throughout the city, and air defense systems were operating. Kyiv Post reporters across the city noted loud explosions as drone debris fell in four districts.

In the Solomensky district, drone debris caused a fire in an industrial warehouse with an area of ​​600 square meters. One person was injured and taken to the hospital, confirmed the mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko. In addition, drone debris hit a nearby medical center, requiring evacuation efforts.

In the Pechersky district, a restaurant on the 33rd floor of a high-rise building caught fire, affecting 50 square meters and causing structural damage to the 34th floor of the building. There were no reports of injuries, but residents were evacuated for safety.

Further damage was reported in the Podolsk region, where a fire broke out in a two-story private house, and in Darnitsky, where drone debris crashed into a residential building, but no one was injured.

Photos and videos of the attacks were widely circulated in Ukrainian media and social platforms, and Kyiv’s State Emergency Service published footage from the fire scenes.
