Fatal M6 lorry crash: Lancashire motorway partially reopens

The highway has partially reopened following a fatal crash in which a truck overturned, crashed into the center lane and landed on the opposite roadway, striking the rear of a car.

The M6 ​​was closed in both directions between junctions 33 near Lancaster and 32 near Preston following the crash at approximately 11:20 GMT on Wednesday.

National Highways said that while two lanes of the northbound carriageway reopened at approximately 0400 GMT, the outer lane will remain closed until repairs are completed.

Drivers heading south were warned to expect diversions and delays.
