Wildlife Sanctuary, Tour Service | South Australia

Woodstock Wildlife Sanctuary is home to Eden, Maple, Ronseley, Prairie, Abraham and Dusty, all rescued western gray kangaroos. Along with a friendly emu named Maverick, they will meet and greet you at our feeding classes.

In 2021 we welcomed two rescued orphan Western Gray Kangaroos, Ruby and Claire.

The wildlife population at the sanctuary continues to grow through breeding and as more hand-raised rescued animals are brought into our care.

We encourage you to take a look at the estate’s majestic eucalyptus trees, both inside and outside the reserve, as we often have koalas visiting to feast on their favorite eucalyptus trees. Considering that koalas can sleep up to 20 hours a day, seeing one sitting quietly and sound asleep in the fork of one of our eucalyptus trees is not unusual.

We are delighted to be able to offer Woodstock visitors a unique and truly Australian encounter with the sanctuary’s animals. We have a supervised feeding session every day at 11:30am.

Dusty, Maverick and the tame residents such as the Gray Kangaroos and some wallabies look forward to this session every day as much as we do!
