Éireann meeting signals change in weekend weather in Ireland with temperatures set to plummet

Met Éireann predicts big changes in our weather condition from Sunday onwards after a mostly dry and mild period comes to an end.

In your forecasts for the weekend and early next week Met Éireann said: “The next few days will see mild and mostly cloudy weather, with a lot of dry weather as high pressure lingers nearby, but some drizzle, mist and mist and some light rain at times, especially further west, although the amount will be low. From Sunday into the early days of next week it will be generally cooler and drier, and much brighter and clearer with some sunshine.”

There will still be good weather around until Sunday.

The forecast continues: “Friday will be mostly cloudy with some fog and drizzle, mainly in the south and southwest, with occasional light rain in the southwest and west, with the chance of the odd moderate wind gust in the southwest. There may also be some hill and coastal fog, mainly in the south and southwest. The highest temperature is from 12 to 15 degrees with a moderate, sometimes fresh southeast wind.

“Friday evening will be cloudy with dry conditions but some fog and drizzle, with fog most widespread in the south and southwest. There will also be some light rain, mainly in the southwest and possibly in the west. The lowest temperature is from 10 to 13 degrees, the southeast wind gradually weakens to moderate.

“Saturday will be another mostly cloudy day with dry weather overall but some light rain and drizzle in places and some fog and mist in the hills and coastal areas. There is a possibility of several bright or limited solar periods developing. for a short time, mainly in the west in the afternoon. Highest temperatures 12 to 16 degrees with light to moderate southeast winds, sometimes cooler though in western coastal parts.

“Saturday evening will be mostly cloudy with drizzle, patches of rain and fog, and a band of more persistent rain moving east. Later, the western half of the country will experience mostly dry and cool weather. Lowest temperatures 9 to 13 degrees with moderate, sometimes fresh southerly winds shifting to the west as the rain stops.

“The remaining rain will ease quickly in the east on Sunday morning, with the rest of the day remaining mostly dry and bright with plenty of sunshine. There will be only a few isolated showers, mainly in the north and northwest. fresher than recently, with highest daytime temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees and mostly moderate westerly winds, fresher in coastal parts of the north and northwest.”

Sunday night we see a big change as cooler conditions arrive.

“Sunday night will be colder than previous nights and will be dry and clear. “Monday will be a dry day with clouds and sunshine. Maximum temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees with light to moderate westerly and northwest winds.

“Monday evening will be dry with clear skies and some patchy fog. Lows of 3 to 7 degrees with a light northwest breeze, with some frost at times,” they concluded.
