Sega Dreamcast is even better than you remember 25 years later

Fans of fighting games will immediately remind you: somehow 25 years have passed since the release of the last one Fatal Furyfavorite series from SNK. Although the last part of the series is remembered fondly, Garou: Mark of the Wolveswas never continued, despite its success among fans and the fact that characters from the Fatal Fury franchise continued to appear in other fighting game series. That’s why it’s so interesting that the new sequel, called City of Wolveswill finally be released in 2025. And we get to play it at Summer Game Fest earlier this year!

Ahead of the game’s launch in April next year, NUTRITION Host Sam Stone got a hands-on look at the game and had the opportunity to speak with the development team behind the revival of the series. We got the lowdown on what’s new in this installment, how the franchise as a whole is shaping up, and what it offers both longtime fans and new ones jumping into the series for the first time.

Fun fact: the last one Fatal Fury game released in 1999 on the very underrated Sega Dreamcast, which turned 25 years old this year, a milestone that immediately makes us nostalgic for one of the most underrated gaming consoles ever released.
