Medical colleges must file their annual return by this date

National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued a notification directing medical colleges and institutions to file annual returns on the NMC portal by November 15, 2024. Institutions must also pay the required fee i.e. 3,54,000/- along with the application for permission to accept seats in undergraduate courses for the year 2025-26.

NMC noted that submission of duly completed annual return of each college on the NMC portal is mandatory for annual renewal of permission for UG-MBBS seats. The institute will not provide seats in case the college/institute fails to submit the annual return within the specified time period.

The annual return portal for the 2025-26 school year includes the following additional information.

• Uploading letter of recognition/continued recognition of medical colleges by MCI/NMC after granting permission to establish medical college.
• Download the latest renewal letter issued for 2024-25.
• Column 14 of the college details on the portal must include the name of the competent authority as mentioned in column 13.
• A new TAB has been created on the portal, where medical colleges need to upload video data from the examination and FORM C.

NMC also mentioned that colleges/institutes which have not registered their AEBAS with NMC will not be able to access the portal. The username and password of each medical college have already been shared with the responsible officers of the respective colleges.
