Bangkok Post – TAP wins National Sustainability Award Triple Crown

The Thai Asia-Pacific brewery strengthens its commitment to “Make a Difference” by receiving prestigious recognition from three government ministries, as well as awards for its green industry culture, energy conservation and workplace safety initiatives.


Thai Asia Pacific Brewery Co., Ltd. (TAP) strengthens its success in sustainability through business operations under the “Make a Better World” strategy, which has received quality awards from government agencies, including the “Green Industry Level 4: Green Culture Standard Award” from the Ministry of Certificate “Industry, Energy Beyond Standards 2024” from the Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency of the Ministry of Energy and the Badge of Honor for the “Zero Accidents” Campaign from the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health of Thailand (TOSH) Department of Labor.

Green Industry – Level 4 reflects TAP’s environmental culture and community involvement

This year, TAP became a green organization, receiving the Green Industry Level 4: Green Culture award. This achievement reflects the commitment of every TAP employee to prioritizing environmental ethics as a fundamental part of the company’s culture, ensuring that all business activities are consistent with sustainable practices and ongoing collaboration with the communities surrounding the brewery. Before receiving the standard Level 4 award, TAP previously achieved Green Industry certifications at Levels 1 to 3 in 2022. Each level symbolizes progressive steps on TAP’s path to sustainable development:

  • Level 1 – Green Commitment: Demonstrates an unwavering commitment to TAP through clear policies and strategic plans to mitigate environmental impacts.
  • Level 2 – Green activities: represents the implementation of targeted initiatives to actively reduce environmental impact.
  • Level 3 – Green System: Emphasizes the establishment of a structured environmental management system, including regular performance assessment and continuous improvement.

Receiving the Standard Level 4 Award underscores TAP’s success in incorporating environmental stewardship as a core corporate value. It also underlines the company’s commitment to developing positive and long-term relationships with surrounding communities, making a sustainable contribution to the well-being of society and the environment.

TAP is one of the top 75 organizations in the Energy Beyond Standards 2024 energy conservation network

TAP is one of Thailand’s leading organizations participating in the Energy Conservation Network of the Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency of the Ministry of Energy and has received the Energy Beyond Standards 2024 certification, demonstrating its position as a model organization for energy efficiency. In addition to reducing energy consumption in all production processes, TAP implemented the Brewed by the Sun project, a 1.2 megawatt solar farm covering 10 rai of earth from 2022, to replace the electrical energy used in the brewery with solar energy. When the solar energy system is at full capacity, it will be able to generate electricity equivalent to 30% of the total electricity used in the brewery.

‘2024 Accident-Free Campaign’ promotes workplace safety

In addition to environmental and community initiatives, another important aspect is demonstrating effective management of safety, health and environment in the workplace. TAP Brewery has participated in the Thailand Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (TOSH)’s Zero Accidents campaign to prevent workplace accidents. The brewery received the 2024 Bronze Level Commendation Plaque, awarded to businesses that have achieved zero absenteeism incidents and have between 1,000,000 and 2,999,999 total employee hours worked.
