Bismarck seeks information to survey services that support low- and moderate-income community members

BISMARCK, N.D. (KYR) – Bismarck is asking for public input on its 2025-2029 Consolidated Community Development Block Grant Plan.

The grant money, provided by the Department of Housing and Urban Development, will be distributed to nonprofit organizations that support low- and moderate-income individuals and families with housing, transportation and more.

“So there are issues here, including affordable housing issues, household income issues, transportation issues. It kind of targets everything and where some of those funds should go and how they can be prioritized for improvement,” said Bismarck City Planner and CDBG Program Administrator Hilary Balzum.

The link to the survey, which is open until October, can be found on the city’s Facebook, X and Instagram pages or on the city’s website.
