A 12-inch water main break has closed part of Waianae Valley Road.

WAINAE (HawaiiNewsNow) – Water Authority crews are responding to a 12-inch water main break that has closed a portion of Waianae Valley Road.

The breakthrough was reported around 6 am.

Waianae Valley Road is closed in both directions between MacArthur Street and Plantation Road as repairs are underway.

The public is advised to avoid the area.

About 11 customers were affected, according to BWS.

There is no completion date for the repairs.
