Stevie Nicks comments on Chappell Roane’s ‘outrageous’ schedule

The Legend of Fleetwood Mac Stevie Nicks commented on the “outrageous” schedule and treatment of rising pop star Chappell Rohan.

Since becoming famous, Roan has been very outspoken about the pressures modern musicians face. The singer hit both toxic fan behavior and difficulties of the road. This drew criticism from certain groups online, but Nicks voiced his support.

In an interview with Rolling StoneNicks commented: “Me and my friend went to look at her schedule and it was outrageous. What she has already done and what she is about to embark on. It’s as bad as any schedule we’ve ever done, and she’s new and young.”

Nicks continued, “I said, ‘They’ll burn it if they want to, because there’s always going to be someone to replace you.’ It must have scared them all a lot. That’s why it’s good that Chappell just said, “Well, go ahead and replace me.” I’m canceling because I’m not going to die because of all of you.”

The Fleetwood Mac star’s comments come shortly after Roane revealed she had been diagnosed with severe depression. Roan explained that the parasocial side of fame takes a huge toll, explaining that she can no longer do normal activities like going to the park.

In an interview with the publication Guardianshe asked, “How can I do this in a safe way without being harassed or harassed?” And she said she now has to call security to carry out routine tasks in public.

Nicks is convinced that the touring schedule Roan faces adds to that stress. Roan has been performing regularly since September last year, but has since completed her scheduled performances for the year.

In some ways, Roan’s public struggles have prompted a rethink of the industry as a whole. Some artists even discussed how they deserved further success. “We’re just going to be the next Fat White family, and we’re happy with that level,” recalls lead singer Abigail Morris, recalling her thoughts when discussing the band’s trajectory. The Last Dinner Party during an interview with BBC Radio 6.

Roan’s rise has followed an insurmountable trajectory, but she is not alone. Roan recently confirmed that she has spoken extensively with Sabrina Carpenter, who is as popular as her latest singles “Please Please Please” and “Espresso.” “We’re both going through something pretty damn hard,” she said. “She just feels like everything is flying and she can barely hang on… It was just nice to know that someone else felt the same way.”
