The plane crashed near the Utah-Arizona border

MOHAVE COUNTY, Ariz. — A plane crashed just south of the Utah-Arizona state line — fortunately without causing any serious injuries.

St. George Fire Department officials confirmed to FOX 13 News that the crash occurred approximately 3-4 miles from the border in Mohave County, Arizona around 6:15 p.m. The crash was witnessed by people in the Desert Canyon area.

Firefighters said everyone on board was able to escape the small private plane after the crash. Presumably there were three of them. Their injuries ranged from minor to moderate, and officials said the group walked to a nearby road where emergency vehicles were waiting.

At some point after the crash, the plane caught fire. However, at St. George Fire have stated that it is not spreading and is too remote to access resources, so they are controlling it, allowing it to burn out on its own.
