Clemson is listed as a three-seed in projections written by David Kenyon. This would give them a first-round bye and an appearance in the Peach Bowl. In this projection, the Tigers will await the winner of 11-seed Tennessee and six-seed Ohio State.

Since Clemson is considered third overall in this production, this would mean that Clemson won the ACC Championship, presumably against Miami Hurricanes. Bleacher Report has Miami ranked ninth in College Football Playoff projections.

As for teams whose stock may be on the decline, Bleacher Report points to the Hurricanes.

“After weeks of flirting with giving up Miami, it feels like now is the time. This offense, led by Heisman Trophy leader Cam Ward, is dynamic and exciting to watch,” Kenyon writes. “On the other hand, defense is a miss machine. Miami at 7-0 should be good enough to make the CFP, but Clemson is the best team in the ACC until proven otherwise.”

The Tigers have a bye week, but will return with an important battle against Louisville Cardinals.
