Fort Bend County Election Administrator John Oldham explained that many voters are unaware of these rules.

“You cannot wear anything that bears political slogans supporting a candidate or party that is affiliated with the candidate on the ballot in this election,” Oldham said. “Things related to the candidate’s name or party (Republican, Democrat, Libertarian or Green) are absolutely not allowed.”
