MITCHELL – Photos from the scene of a fire caused by a property owner burning a burn barrel when it tipped over, causing a fire Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2024, northwest of Mitchell.

No injuries were reported. However, Mitchell Fire Department Battalion Chief Joe Dolezal said the barn that housed the boat was a total loss. Some older classic cars were also lost.

Officials were on scene for more than an hour and most of the fire was extinguished within an hour.

He has always been interested in photography, but began honing his skills in mid-2014. He worked to expand his knowledge of photography by shooting for local events.
