HWS Hosts Finger Lakes Camera Mixer and Participation Showcase on Campus

On Oct. 9, the Finger Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce hosted its October After Hours Party at the Gearan Center for the Performing Arts at Hobart and William Smith College, an event focused on networking and engagement with the campus and community.

Kathy Flowers, director of the College’s Center for Community Engagement and Service-Learning, led the event, emphasizing the Center’s mission to foster civic engagement among students. Attendees included Chamber staff, board members, HWS faculty and community members who gathered for a networking session and learned about HWS training programs and their impact on the local level.

Chamber President Miranda Odell thanked Flowers and HWS for their partnership and hospitality, noting the long-standing relationship between the institutions. Stephanie Yearsley, director of conference services, thanked her team for coordinating the events and introduced HWS’s event services, highlighting both on- and off-campus event options.

Guests concluded the event with a campus tour led by HWS students. The Chamber’s next mixer, which includes a train ride on the Finger Lakes Railroad, is scheduled for November 13th. Registration is required and tickets can be purchased on the Chamber website or by contacting by phone. (email protected).
