Trump was accused of groping a woman in 1993 in front of Jeffrey Epstein.

WASHINGTON — Stacy Williams Blames Former President Donald Trump about groping her in Trump Tower in early 1993, when she was a disgraced hedge fund manager. Jeffrey Epstein watched.

The former model initially made the accusation Monday during a video chat with sexual assault survivors supporting the vice president. Kamala Harris ‘ campaign. In an interview with The Associated Press on Friday, she described a walk along New York’s Fifth Avenue with Epstein, whom she was dating at the time, when he suggested they visit Trump at his eponymous tower.

According to her, as soon as Trump saw her, he “hugged me and pulled me towards him.”

“Then he started touching me. He started rubbing his hands up and down my body. He touched my chest. He touched my waist. He touched my butt,” she said. “And while his hands are on me, he continues to talk to Jeffrey, who, you know, is standing in front of us. And I just froze. I was so confused.”

Caroline Leavitt, Trump’s spokeswoman, called the allegations “unequivocally false” and said they were politically motivated.

The organizer of the Kamala Survivors video call said this week’s meeting was not affiliated with the Harris campaign and was an external meeting of sexual assault survivors and advocacy organizations. Harris’ campaign declined to comment Friday on the allegations. And Williams said that in voting for Harris, she had no contact with the Democrat’s campaign and no conscious contact with people associated with her race.

The charge is the latest in a long list of charges brought against Trump, including E. Jean Carrollwho was embroiled in a legal battle with the businessman-turned-president after a jury found him liable in 2023 for sexually assaulting an advice columnist in 1996 and then for defaming her. Allegations against Trump have been going on for decades and include those described in the “Access Hollywood” tape, a 2005 video released weeks before the 2016 election that showed the then-reality TV star bragging about grabbed, forcibly kissed and sexually assaulted women.

In the interview, Williams said the meeting with Trump “felt planned,” as if she “walked in at that exact moment and they both knew exactly what they were doing.”

“You know, I was the kind of person you could play some kind of twisted game with, a bet or something like that,” she added.

At the time of the alleged incident, Trump was in his 40s and Williams was in her 20s. Williams said she remembered “an assistant who walked by a couple of times” to whom she was introduced, but the meeting was mostly just her, Trump and Epstein. Overall, she said, the meeting lasted “about five minutes, maybe a little longer, definitely less than 10 minutes.” »

Although Epstein was talking at the time and didn’t say anything to Trump, Williams remembers how his “energy” changed when they got into the elevator to leave.

“He didn’t look me in the eyes. He seemed to be seething, like he was very angry,” she said. “And my heart was still racing and I was still confused.”

When they got outside, she said, “The first thing he said was, ‘Why did you let him do that?’ And he scolded me. … Of course, I immediately felt ashamed.”

After that meeting, they went their separate ways—”I went downtown, he went downtown,” she said—and that’s when Williams said she really started to realize what had happened.

During a phone call earlier this week, Williams added that she received a postcard from Trump “shortly after” that Trump Tower meeting. Williams said her agent received the postcard via courier from Trump.

Williams’ team provided the AP with images of the postcard. On one side are photos of Palm Beach and Mar-a-Lago, the former president’s Florida resort, and on the other are letters purporting to be from Trump. “Stacy, your home away from home. Love, Donald,” the card reads.

Williams said her meeting with Trump was the third and final time she met with Trump. The two had previously met at a Christmas party the businessman threw in 1992, but after their meeting in early 1993, the model felt “so disgusted about running into him after that.” I never wanted to be around him again.” Williams said she saw Epstein “one or two more times” after meeting Trump in 1993.

Although Trump has sought to distance himself from Epstein in recent years, he told New York Magazine in 2002 that he had known “Jeff” for 15 years.

“Amazing guy,” Trump told the magazine. “He’s a lot of fun. They even say that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are younger. There’s no doubt about it – Jeffrey enjoys his social life.”

The reason Williams says she’s coming forward now is because she chose to say in a recently premiered documentary called Beyond Sight that she was groped by the former president in front of Jeffrey Epstein, according to a person close to to Williams, who wished to remain anonymous. to describe her personal thoughts. She didn’t mention Trump by name in the interview but only learned a few weeks ago that the comment would be included in the documentary, the person said, so Williams thought it was time to speak out since the comment was likely to attract attention.

Williams said that when the Access Hollywood tape came out, she thought, “Finally, everyone will know what a strange guy he is, that he does these things.”

“I had a desire to tell this story. But, you know, as a mother of a young child, I wasn’t going to bring that into my life,” she said Friday.

However, when Trump won the election, Williams said she was “sickened.”

“It was beyond comprehension… just like we’re upside down,” she said.
