He told BBC that Diddy asked him to invite Prince Harry and Prince William at least 10 times.

Shooter only worked for Diddy for two years, suggesting that the music mogul asked him to personally invite the princes to parties every few months. It is unclear how many additional invitations he extended to Prince Harry and Prince William. The invitations reportedly stopped abruptly in 2010.

During a 2011 interview with The Graham Norton ShowDiddy confirmed that he invited Prince William and Prince Harry to his parties when they were “young guys”, but they were no longer on the list. Diddy hasn’t confirmed it though. Prince William and Kate Middleton’s engagement played a role in his decision to cancel the offer, it seems quite clear that it could have affected his invitation status. Prince William announced his engagement to his longtime girlfriend in November 2010.

It took Prince Harry several years to “settle down” with Meghan Markle. But it appears Diddy viewed the royal brothers as a package deal. It’s unclear whether the duo knew they were invited to Diddy’s parties or whether their handlers declined the invitations without letting them know they were welcome. In any case, refusing his invitation helped them avoid a major scandal.
