Pickup truck didn’t stop after colliding with student

A 12-year-old boy suffered minor injuries after being hit by a car.

The child was walking to school in The Avenue, Richmond, about 8.45am on Thursday when he collided with a dark colored pick-up truck.

The boy was treated for minor injuries following the incident.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “The pickup did not stop at the scene and we are appealing for information to identify the vehicle and driver.
