Slot set record after Liverpool-Arsenal draw

Slot explained his point after the match, saying: “They ended up on the court so many times, which can happen a lot in football. I don’t blame them for it, but it always happened after they did. In my opinion, it took the energy out of the game.”

He went on to explain that he told Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate: “It’s a bloody joke” and believes the fourth official misunderstood, thinking the comment was directed at him. Sloth further added:

“The fourth official thought I told him, ‘You’re fucking kidding me.’ But that’s definitely not what I said. But I got a yellow card for that and now I have two and I have to be careful.”

This yellow card attracts Sloth’s attention as another one will result in a suspension according to Premier League rules.

Despite not being the most energetic manager, the former Feyenoord manager will now have to handle officials carefully for the rest of the season.

Liverpool’s next test comes quickly as they prepare for clashes against Brighton in the League Cup and Premier League.

With just six points separating the two sides, these matches could prove crucial for Liverpool as they look to close the gap on City at the top and gain momentum.
