A Douglas man has been jailed for indecently assaulting a teenage girl.

A man has been jailed for four years after being found guilty of indecently assaulting a teenage girl on the Isle of Man.

Thomas Murphy has pleaded not guilty to four counts of indecent assault committed between March and April 2023.

Sentencing him at Douglas Courthouse, Deemster Graham Cook told the 24-year-old: “You have shown no remorse in maintaining your innocence.”

Murphy, of Alder Road in Pulrose, Douglas, was also placed on the sex offenders register for life and given a sex offenses prevention order, which will be in place for 10 years.
