Two were injured in a collision on Highway 115 near Gate 5 of Fort Carson.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Two drivers were taken to the hospital after a crash near one of Fort Carson’s gates.

Drivers trying to get to the checkpoint during Monday’s morning commute likely faced delays as a two-vehicle collision blocked lanes at Highway 115 and Pine Oak Road, near Exit 5.

The State Patrol is still investigating the cause of the crash but says it was reported shortly before 6:40 a.m. and cleared about 80 minutes later. The collision involved a Toyota Highlander and a Honda Accord.

As of this writing, there is no information on the driver’s condition or whether one or both drivers are employed or report to Fort Carson.
