A status hearing has been set for a Peterstown man who has pleaded not guilty to child pornography charges.

UNION, WVVA (WVVA) – A Peterstown man has pleaded not guilty to a child pornography charge and remains free on bond with a hearing scheduled for January 6th.

Ronald Bradley Jr., 38, was charged in June with distributing child pornography that depicted minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

He has since been indicted on that charge and pleaded not guilty during his arraignment earlier this month.

Monroe County Circuit Court Judge Robert Irons’ arraignment order allows Bradley to remain free on the $6,000 bail he previously posted, but with some modifications, including conditions similar to sex offender supervision. This means, among other restrictions, not participating in activities involving children under 18 and not leaving the state.

The exchange of evidence must be completed by Nov. 7, and any pretrial motions must be filed by Dec. 7, the order states.

According to the criminal complaint, on June 6, Bradley used the Kik app under the username “happydua32” and communicated with an undercover officer who was “acting undercover.”

Bradley sent a photo of a naked, underage woman and stated in Kik messages that he had engaged in sexually explicit activity with the woman earlier that day.

West Virginia State Police, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and FBI officers executed a search warrant that led to Bradley’s arrest.
